how to create a rescue disk on a bootable usb
The first step you must do is to download the program Rufus. This will allow you to make a bootable USB drive so you can have portable rescue software. Rufus can be downloaded from: http://rufus.akeo.ie/
Open the application and you'll be presented with this screen. Under where it says "device" find and select your USB. It goes by drive letter so make sure you know which drive letter your USB is.
Click on the CD icon to locate the rescue software you want to use. I'm using a software called Trinity. This can be downloaded at: http://trinityhome.org/Home/index.php?content=TRINITY_RESCUE_KIT____CPR_FOR_YOUR_COMPUTER&front_id=12&lang=en&locale=en
When you click start, you'll get a warning as pictured below. If you are okay with this then click "OK".
From here choose how you want to run it.
After that choose what you want to do.
You are now successfully running Trinity rescue kit! Note: all links shown on this page lead to free downloads.
